DIY Halloween Bat Tutorial

And so begins the journey of my blogging experience! Are you ready? Yeah, I’m not so sure either but I thought I’d give it a whirl. Please bear with me as I learn the ins and outs of the blogging world. You’ll be patient and forgiving, right?

Anyway, to celebrate this journey, I have a special treat for you…..A DIY tutorial for a Halloween BAT invitation! There’s a fun element to it….the wings “flap”! I know, how exciting. But it wouldn’t be a fun invitation that your guests will be excited to get if it didn’t have some “3D” aspect to it.

You will need:

one bat body

one bat head

two wings

one bat belly invite

two fangs

2 1/16″ brads in the color of the bat wings

1/16″ hole punch

glue or two sided tape

1. The first step is to print and cut out the patterns for your bat body. You can enlarge and shrink the design as needed.I uploaded the files into my Silhouette for cleaner lines, but if you have a steady hand, you can cut them out just as well.

2. Fill out the party information and cut out the ovals. Glue them in the center of your bat body.

3. Make two holes with your 1/16″ hole punch on the top of the bat body and the two wings.

4. Take the two 1/16″ brads and place them in the wings and attach to bat body.

5. Attach the fangs to the head and glue on to your body. (He’s a modest little guy {wink, wink})

6. You should have one fully assembled bat invitation!!
