I skipped last month and didn’t do a breakfast table for Thanksgiving. I figured that wasn’t a huge deal. It’s just Thanksgiving, ya know? But Christmas, well, how could I not do a special breakfast table for Christmas?!
So here it is. I wanted to keep the color scheme fun and colorful since it is for kids, after all. I found everything you see here at Target. (I told you I have a slight obsession with that store.)
I filled the centerpiece vase with little red ornaments and found the sparkly candy canes fit in perfectly.
The felt garland was hung and I added two sparkly blue snowflakes to help bring in more color to the background.
I found the Joy ornament fit nicely on the red plates and the gingerbread napkin was too cute for words. Love him!
In the treat boxes, I will be placing little mini doughnuts for them to snack on while we fix the main dishes. Yes, I said dishES. I like sweet in the morning and my husband likes hearty so he will be making a basic biscuits and gravy recipe while I will be trying out a new cinnamon roll recipe by Alton Brown. It got 5 stars from 456 reviews. Cant’ be that bad of a recipe, right? You can check out the recipe here.
They will each get a little present to play with too while they wait. trey likes the movie cars, so I got him a Mater truck. Quinn likes The Littlest Pet Shop toys, so she gets one of those that walks. And because Betty is 12 and kind of out of the toy age, I got her an iTunes gift card so she can download a game on her iPod while waiting.
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

Greetings!
I positively ADORE the darling font that you use for your website headers! (The font used for your “Speak Your Mind” header above, for instance.) Can you tell me anything about it? Did you all design it yourselves, or is it available to the masses? If it’s not exclusively yours (which of course I’d understand), I’d love to know what it is called so that I can hunt it down online.
My hobby is primarily card-making, and I enjoy scrapbooking, too – for which font designs are vital, but I’ve always had a thing for fonts, anyway! I am such a font dork that when I write letters to friends and family, I spend ages finding just the right font to “match” both the recipient’s personality and the general tone of my letter! The embarrassing truth is that I often spend more time locating the perfect font than I do actually writing the letter! : )
Anyway, if you have a free minute, I’d love to know more!
Many thanks,
Michelle
Hi Michelle!
I love fonts too…must be the creativeness in us
I actually do not know what the font is called-my web designer installed it for me. If I find out though, I will be sure to pass on the information to you.
Take care and happy creating~
